"Tantalizing Tablescapes"

Open to professional designers & students currently enrolled
in recognized design programs

The Design Competition at each Fine Furnishings Show showcases the talent of area designers & decorators, while featuring a selected piece from one of the exhibiting furniture makers, and a collection of complementary accessories and art created by other show exhibitors.

Participating designers are invited to produce an inspiring room setting at the show. Designers select the table they would like to style their design around from a list of interested exhibitors. At least 75% of the items in their display must be comprised of work by show exhibitors. A compilation of all items used, including each artisan's name and booth number, must be submitted. Displays are judged and awards presented.

Designer Guidelines:

• Create a room in keeping with the design competition theme that inspires potential clients to consider your design services.
• Feature a table from one of the show's furniture makers prominently.
• Accessorize with work by show exhibitors (at least 75% of the items).
• Provide lighting in addition to the facility overhead lights if desired.
• Order electricity, if needed, directly from the facility (approximately $75)
• Provide list of items used with artisan's name & booth number.

Show Provides:

• Immeasurable publicity before, during, and after the show.
• A display space appropriate to the size of the selected table with 8' black pipe and drape. Designer may substitute fabric for drape, hard walls, or any combination to complement their design, at their own expense.
• Signage that includes the designer's business information, his/her design statement, and the list of included items.
• Designer included in the Show Directory listings.
