How do I get to the loading dock?
Drive past the entrance to the Westin Hotel, proceed through the parking tunnel, as you come out the other side turn onto ramp going up on your left.

What color will the carpet and drape be?
Carpet is forest green, draping is black.

Is there any storage space in the Convention Center?
Yes, plenty, please refer to the 2006 floorplan for areas marked.

How do I tell if I need a temp sales tax permit?
Cash and carry requires a permit. You collect the tax and send it in. Permit is not needed if you only take orders for delivery or shipping.

Which vehicles are allowed in the show hall for move-in, move-out?
All personal and business vehicles but no trailers. Box trucks and larger go to the loading dock.

What hotels are nearby?
The Westin is connected to the Convention Center and there are several others walking distance. Also, affordable lodging is available to the Southwest in Warwick, RI near the airport/Route 95 and to the East in Swansea/Seekonk, MA on Route 195. Please see the Lodging section of the website.

What is the parking situation?
There are garages connected to the Convention Center. We recommend the North Parking Garage. There is an hourly rate for Thursday/Move-In day and a flat event rate of approximately $8 for Fri/Sat/Sun of the show. If you think/know you will need to come and go on the show days more that once in and once out then you can get a parking pass that costs the same as the event rate but allows to you go in and out as many times as you need to during the show day. Inquire at the Parking Garage Office. In the North Garage there is a door on the 3rd floor West that lets you on to the loading dock area/back of the exhibit hall and there is a set of double doors on the 4th floor East that lets you into the Westin/Convention Center right near the entrance of the show.

Where is there a place to park trucks that don't fit in the parking garage?
In the marshalling area at bottom of ramp to loading dock. Please check with the Security Office at the Loading Dock area for availability and rules/regulations.

Is there security in the show and building?
Smile, you’re on candid (security) camera, plus we hire extra security inside the hall.

Where is the nearest hardward store?
Adlers on Wickenden Street (not walkable).

Where is the exhibitor lounge?
Upstairs from lobby, take elevator, look for signage.

How do you get to the Providence Place Mall and all the great restaurants there?
Easy - walk through the Westin Hotel and over the Skybridge – no need to go outside.

Where do you get a map of Providence and restaurant info?
At the Visitor’s Booth on the ground floor of the Convention Center.

Where is the nearest pharmacy?
Westin Hotel gift show has some supplies, otherwise in Providence Place Mall.

Where is the business office?
The business office for the Convention Center is right across from the main entrance to the show.

How do I get a hold of the electrician?
Go to the business office (see question above)

Where is the show decorators service desk?
Usually in the back of the exhibit hall.
