Amongst the 50 talented exhibitors that will be showing and selling their work at our new Baltimore Show this weekend is a group of women who design & handcraft furniture & accessories. While some might say girls just want to have fun these women are not only designing & creating some fresh and fun pieces but are also serious about being artists, designers & business women. Come meet this interesting group of women working in wood, glass, ceramics and mixed media and see their wonderful work sure to enhance your life! (lamps & lighting by Deborah Bruns-Thomas)

Here is a sneak peak!

"Finding Your Star" Cabinet by Katherine Park and Custom glass door by Emily Selvin

Katherine Park
loves working in wood creating furniture that is very whimsical and storytelling. Deborah Bruns-Thomas found inspiration from a cup of tea and creates lamps and lighting with shades made of tea bags! Emily Selvin has been "playing" with glass for over 13 years and creates custom pieces for clients, is skilled in vitreous painting on glass and does restoration too! Linda Johnson & Laura Evangelista are two talented ceramic artists each with their own lines of handmade dinnerware & home accessories that will brighten any room in your house and delight homeowners and guests alike!

 DELIGHTS & DISCOVERIES!

What could be more delightful than sipping a glass of wine in a fun, colorful, handcrafted wine glass by Jennifer & David Clancy? Guests often say "you have such fun glasses"!

Or stirring a pot of homemade pasta sauce simmering on the stove with a handmade cherry wood spoon from Jonathan's Spoons? I enjoy laying out my wooden spoons every now and then and giving them a good oil rub so that I can cook with them for years to come.

Or stepping out of bed on to a handmade wool rug that just about caresses your toes, and is brimming with design and color and handmade by Meg Little? Sometimes I could just lay down on it and take a nap. How many can say that about their rug?

My discoveries this issue have been learning more about the talented women exhibiting in the Baltimore show this weekend - what inspires them, what encourages them, what balances their life and what gives them strength to be business women. I encourage you to come to the show this weekend and discover the talents of these women artists for yourself!

Wishing all of you days of handmade delights & discoveries and I invite you to watch for mine in each issue of our show newsletter!
