DESCRIPTION
Building in wood for over 3 decades, I have been Essence Woodworks for the last 12 years, a mostly one-man shop, fabricating primarily custom cabinetry as well as furniture commissions.
From 2004-2006, as half of an intensive design collaborative called Studio Cochineal, I explored the color and texture of functional furniture.
Amongst other recognition, our work won "Best In Show For A Contemporary Piece" here at the 2006 Providence Show, and "Best of Media--Furniture" at CRAFTBOSTON 2007.
Now at the 2007 Providence Show, I am unveiling my own line of furniture called Crimson Asphalt. Red and Black. Spare, elegant lines will make these pieces pleasing to look at. Sharp contrast will keep the furniture fresh and invigorating for years to come. Functional design will ensure day-to-day use is a pleasure.
